From the spatial construction,the paper analyzes the possibility of inheriting the styles of South China Gardens in the landscape con-struction of modern residential districts,explores the spatial construction methods for the South China gardens from the space layout,space levels, and space sequence based on the spatial structures of the gardens,and illustrates the design methods from the spatial construction and theme ex-pressions,so as to inspire the landscape construction of modern residential districts.%从空间建构的角度，分析了现代居住区景观建设对江南园林承继的可能性，基于江南园林空间结构特点，分别从空间布局，空间层次和空间序列三个方面探讨了江南园林的空间建构手法，阐述空间塑造、主题表达等方面的设计方法，旨在启发江南园林对于现代居住区景观建设的意义。
