Panax quinquefolius was a traditional medicine,contains many active components such as polysaccharides,peptides,essential oil and ginsenosides,among which,polysaccharides were reported to consisted of glucogalactan,arabinogalactan,RG-I and HG type pectin.Polysaccharides from P quinquefolius have anti-cancer,immune-modulating,anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory activities.For better understanding of the structures and biological activities of all the P quinquefolius polysaccharides,the recent research achievements were reviewed.This review would be helpful for the relevant researchers to get useful information.%西洋参是五加科人参属植物,具有调节免疫力、抗肿瘤等多种功效.多糖是西洋参发挥药用价值的重要活性成分.根据单糖组成不同,西洋参多糖可分为中性多糖和酸性多糖.中性多糖主要包括葡聚半乳糖、阿拉伯半乳聚糖;酸性多糖主要包括RG-I和HG型果胶等.西洋参多糖具有免疫调节、抗氧化、抗炎、抗肿瘤等多种生物活性.本文对近年来发表的文章进行了总结,对西洋参多糖结构和活性研究进展进行了综述,为西洋参多糖的进一步开发和应用提供参考和依据.
