21201 working face is a fully mechanized caving face. There are many problems in buttock working such as low security co-efficient, large consumption of supporting material, long working time, many personnel involved and large labor intensity. Based on the char-acteristics of roof plate in the site, three aspects of improvement for the buttock supporting technology are put forward. And the technical parameters are analyzed, optimized and checked. The problems above are solved through practical application of the improved technology and certain economic benefit has been achieved.%21201工作面为综放工作面，在端头作业过程中存在着安全系数低、耗费支护材料较大、占用生产时间较长、投入人员较多、劳动强度较大等问题。结合现场顶板特点，对端头支护工艺提出了三方面的改进，并对技术参数进行了分析、优化和校核。经过实际应用解决了上述问题，并取得了一定的经济效益。
