The three-hexagon symbol at the top of each page and end of each article in the newly-redesigned AATCC Review is obviously a reference to the familiar AATCC logo. But there is more to this ubiquitous symbol than geometry and brand awareness.rnThere is actually very little recorded about the development of the AATCC logo, but theories behind the symbolism abound.rnIn September 1923, the AATCC Council accepted the report of the emblem committee "and the committee continued with further instructions." By November of the same year, the council approved the emblem and placed an order for pins to be distributed at the Annual meeting. The emblem on those pins is the same one we use today.
