Our goal in editing this special issue of AMLE was to respond to the challenges facing educators stemming from the dramatically increasing demand for courses that effectively develop social entrepreneurs and social innovators. Our motivation was rooted partly in the challenges we ourselves faced as social entrepreneurship educators.
