While the accounting profession may be in the midst of a particularly tight staff crunch right now, talent is always a challenge, according to Mario Donato, the CEO of Top 100 Firm FGMK: "You're only as good as your people, because we offer solutions and advice. The challenge is continuing to be the best. You have to invest in your future, you have to invest in good people - you have to maintain them. You can't have turnover. So hiring is probably the biggest challenge." And on that front, Donato's Chicagoland firm is obviously doing something right, having added 85 people over the course of 2014, including seven partners, for a total headcount of 381. It also recently expanded beyond its Bannockburn headquarters, adding a second office in downtown Chicago to better serve clients and attract talent.
