The confluence of a distressingly weak economy, massive stock market losses, and a laundry list of new tax laws has put intense pressure on tax and accounting professionals. Their clients are faced with unprecedented concerns about their financial futures and the impact of all these changes on their tax situation. Staying ahead of these constantly changing situations is a challenge for all professionals—but particularly for the small firms that we serve. Unlike larger practices, where partners can lean on support staff and assistants for help, the principals of the small firms we work with wear lots of hats and have to take care of most tasks themselves. More than half of our customers are sole practitioners, so that our goal is to provide them with fully integrated, powerful software tools that help get the job done quickly and efficiently.
