With a new U K Secretary of State for Defence, Gavin Williamson, having requested that delivery of the defence element of the planned national security capability review should be pushed back into 2018 and also, given the extent of the MoD's defence budget problems, that it might be better to have a full defence review now rather than wait until 2020, not only is defence procurement activity in limbo but uncertainty will continue to dominate across the whole of defence.
