Semiotics originally came form humanitarian scien- tists. It was used to denote a science of signs. Semiotics comprises essentially three main directions, namely syntax, semantics, and pragmatics. However for a long time semiotics was used mostly in such areas as lin- guistics, biology, arts, history, etc.
