The first of four Mi-26Ts heavy-lift helicopters ordered for the Jordanian military was spotted undergoing post-assembly flight testing at the Rostvertol plant in Rostov-on-Don in mid-October. Signed between Russian Helicopters and Jordan's King Abdulla II Design and Development Bureau, the Mi-26T2 contract covers delivery of four machines, intended for use by the country's military. The 56-tonne Mi-26T2 is a facelift of the original 1980s-vintage Mi-26, sporting a glass cockpit and an all-new flightavigation suite.
