Aircraft Industries of Kunovice in the Czech Republic completed the maiden flight of a Let L410-UVP-E20, powered by two GE Aviation Czech H80 turboprops, on November 16,2011. The aircraft flew for 40 minutes from Kunovice and will be used in the certification programme for the airframe and powerplant combination. Certification is expected in the third quarter of 2012, and the engine will become an option for new-build L410s and will also be offered as a retrofit on existing aircraft.
