Brazilian carrier, Azul Linhas Aereas Brasileiras has signed an agreement for a long-term flight hour pool programme (FHP) to support the airline's new Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. Azul, which has placed an order for 51 E195-E2 jets, is global launch customer for the new type and is due to receive the first example in the second half of this year. The multi-year FHP programme provides the carrier with material services engineering and advanced component exchanges from Embraer's spare parts facilities in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Alex Malfitani, vice president of finance, Azul said: "This support, which we agreed upon [with Embraer], will guarantee an even more efficient operation with greater aircraft competitiveness and availability, which will also impact the satisfaction of those who fly Azul."
