In a Nov. 29 Federal Register notice, FAA invited public comment on itsintention to seek Office of Management and Budget approval to renew aninformation collection through its Noise Portal, which serves as the agency’saircraft noise complaint system. The notice is required by Paperwork ReductionAct of 1995.The FAA Regional Administrators’ Offices and the FAA Noise Ombudsmanwill use the noise complaint information voluntarily reported by thepublic through the FAA Noise Portal to prepare responses to their noisecomplaints or inquiries, the agency explained.
