The 'voice of the world's airports' has officially opened an ACI China Airport Management Training Centre in Beijing to assist the country's development as it embarks on an ambitious programme to accommodate its rapidly expanding aviation industry. The centre, opened in partnership with Beijing Capital Airport and subsidiary Beijing Bowei Airport Support Co., will train a new generation of local managers for the daunting task of managing the country's growing airport sector. ACI director general, Robert Aaronson - who signed the joint venture agreement with Beijing Bowei Airport Support's general manager Frank Hu -is confident that the initiative will strengthen ACI's communications and relations with airports in China and ultimately boost the organisation's membership, which already includes the airports of Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Qingdao, Shanghai, Shenyang, Shenzhen, Xiamen and Xi'an.
