Kato Light Metal Industry has entrusted Presezzi Extrusion (PE) with the replacement of two existing presses by two 23-MN front loading presses equipped with double tooling for 6" and 8". The presses are equipped with state-of-the-art automation systems and an in- novative system for energy savings, which is based on a patent developed by PE's R&D centre. Particular attention was paid by the technical staff of Presezzi to optimize the layout. Thanks to the reduced number of pumps and small size, the extrusion presses ideally fit in the small spaces typical of Japanese firms. Presezzi Extrusion Group, comprising Presezzi Extrusion, Coim, Profile Automation and Reiter & Crippa, has been awarded an order from the UAE for the installation of a new complete extrusion line. The supply includes a log heating line, a 23-MN front loading press equipped with double tooling for 8" and 9", complete cooling system as well as a system with puller for flying cut up complete with cutter and cutting bench, including a 12-baskets gas ageing furnace. The test run is scheduled for September this year. The client was not disclosed.
