In 2010 Schmidt + Clemens slightly increased its consolidated turnover to 233 million euros (+2.2%). Overall, the management rated the past year as solid and the result achieved as very positive. After the downturn in 2009, however, revenues have not recovered significantly. "In 2010 the markets lagged behind expectations. Yet, we are satisfied with the results achieved by the S +C group. Our business always develops late in a cycle," said Henning Kreisel, CFO of the company group. Managing partner Jan SchmidtKrayer also views the future with optimism: "Since the second half of 2010 we have noted a revival of the markets and this trend has continued in the first quarter of 2011. On the whole, we are relatively busy."
