What does a nuclear power plant do with spent fuel? The answer to that question is quite complex and depends on a lot of factors. In New Jersey, the Oyster Creek Nuclear Power Plant stores spent nuclear fuel in huge concrete cask bunkers. For several years, Miller Transfer has been talking to their power generation customer about one day hauling these huge and heavy cask bunkers to the plant in Forked River, NJ. In June 2011 the project was finalized and scheduled, according to Mitch Unger, vice president of Miller Transfer.
