As Commander-in-Chief Fleet (CINCFLEET). Admiral Sir Trevor Soar has full command of all deployable ships and submarines and Fleet units, including the Royal Marines and is responsible for ensuring that these un are ready in all respects for any operations requested by the government of the United Kingdom. He was in Langkawi, Malaysia, recently to attend a security conference and spoke to ADJ Editor M Ghazemy Mahmud on counter-piracy, maritime air patrol and the involvement of international naval forces in maritime security operations.
