As of Dec. 1, ABA and America's Community Bankers —two associations with long histories and strong reputations—are one.rnAs a unified association representing the vast majority of the banking industry, we have a tremendous opportunity.rnWe now have more staff, more ideas, more money, and more connections. These will help us deliver more to our members for less, like free ABA Toolboxes, ABAWorks guides, and E-mail Bulletins. The bulletins offer targeted news on a range of topics such as human resources compliance, wealth management, and Subchapter S.rnBut equally important is our opportunity to develop more support for the banking industry's policy goals. Because in Washington, unity counts for a lot.rnWhen you can walk into a congressional office and say you represent 95% of the banking industry's $11.5 trillion in assets, you've got clout.
