Having worked in an era when hydrologists were unconcerned with water policy, water management or water environment, this writer was interested in tackling a paper on a water delivery technology. He found it a hard read because nomenclatures were not always consistent - "supply-side management strategy" for "augmentation", "climate" for "weather" and "system" for "headworks" - and there was at least one contradiction: "The calculation of required trigger levels as a function of demand is relatively straightforward" versus "The triggers are selected...".
