Two intercropping systems of potato crop with some medicinal and ornamental plants (geranium, lemongrass, and/or sweet basil) significantly reduced infestation of potato crop by Bemisia tabaci, different aphids species, Thrips tabaci and the potato tuber moth; kept them under low level; during growth stages of potato crop. In some cases, there was no significant variation (p > 0.05) between the two intercropping systems; while in others, lower infestation occurred in mixed intercropping rather than in the surrounded one. The lowest average number of immature stages of the white fly, aphids and thrips (adults and nymphs) occurred particularly in potato plots mixed or surrounded by lemongrass or by the three plants together. The highest significant (p < 0.01) reduction in the rate of the potato tuber moth infestation in both leaves and in harvested tubers occurred in potato plots mixed with lemongrass or with the three plants together, during the summer season.
