As academicians, we know that attending conferences affords many benefits: Besides a small vacation from a rigorous teaching schedule, the typical conference attendee returns home laden with ideas to infuse new life into tired classes as well as a briefcase full of examples and exercises for classroom implementation.rnAs management consultants, we know that serving in this advisory capacity also affords many opportunities: Financial incentive aside, consulting keeps us in touch with current business practices and ideologies as well as providing us with real examples to enrich the classroom experience.
