UPS reported a very strong second quarter, with net income up 90% y-o-y to $845 million, as total revenue rose 12.7% to $12.20 billion. Operating profit in the quarter was up 51.5 % to $1.40 billion. While there may be debate in some quarters about the future of the economic recovery, UPS is bullish. The company raised its guidance for full-year 2010 earnings to a 45%-to-50% increase over 2009.
