摘要

Solov'ev and Borisov conducted a number of experiments to confirm theoretical bases of a method of increasing mixing efficiency in agitator-equipped vessels using a combined Rankine vortex. Designed as a cascade with wing profiles, the agitator made it possible to select the angle of attack by the liquid on the wing profile immediately during an experiment. This permitted variation of parameters of the cascade as a function of the type and rotational speed of the agitator. Two types of agitators were used in conducting the experiments: radial-paddle and disk. Figure 1 shows a structural diagram of the vessel with the cascade.
