It can be an easy trap, when thinking about innovation and periods of significant growth and prosperity, to give too much attention to a handful of particularly notable visionaries: Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Steve Jobs. Mass Flourishing, in clear and elegant prose backed by significant research, advances the argument that the true engine of innovation is powered by millions of motivated and empowered people conceiving and developing a vast number of new or improved products and ideas.
