The producers of the long-running BBC TV programme, Question Time, must have a full-time job coming-up with interesting new locations for the programme in order to both reflect the regional diversity to be found in Great Britain and Northern Ireland, but also to provide a suitable captive audience. How about an excavator factory in a little village near Uttoxeter? Perfect! The relationship between the mass media and the manufacturing industry in the UK has always been, at best, "arm's length"as most factories are well outside the London media bubble, so it was a major success story for JCB to arrange for the programme to be hosted from its striking "Innovation Centre" at Rocester.
