Climate change is still firmly on Barack Obama's radar according to one of this year's liveliest LARAC conference speakers. Sustainability expert, David Refkin, former president of the National Recycling Coalition in the US, gave delegates an idea of the challenges facing recycling and resource management across the Atlantic, including market price fluctuations; low levels of public awareness and engagement; and a massive rise in "consumption on the go".
