Latest Figures from the National Industrial Symbiosis Programme (NISP) show it has helped the Government achieve its key objective of the Business Resource Efficiency and Waste (BREW) Programme...helping businesses reduce waste. NISP received ￡16m funding from BREW between April 2005 and March 2008 and in that time helped its 10000+ member companies reduce their business waste by almost 3.5m tonnes.It also shows that NISP members have reduced carbon dioxide emissions by more than 4.4m tonnes and NISP facilitated links between companies have saved 6m tonnes of virgin raw materials being used by UK industry.
