In the face of stiff competition from India and China, and economic pressures, Sri Lanka's struggling apparel industry has sought immediate help from the government. The Joint Apparel Association Forum (JAAF), the garment industry representative body, is in regular discussions with the government and other entities on these issues and is expecting fruitful results soon, its chairman Ajith Dias said.
