The Mumbai-based ATE group, which is into textile engineering and marketing, has set its sights on the evolving market for shuttle-less looms, and has taken up marketing rapier looms from Panter S.r.l of Italy in India. ATE is targeting the large price sensitive, but yet-to-be-modernised powerloom sector for the Panter range. This is its strategy to take advantage of the business opportunities likely to develop under the textile technology upgradation fund scheme (TUFS).
