Devices you wear around your wrist to track your fitness and health. They contain sensors that monitor your heart rate, calorie intake, stress levels and how many hours you sleep. Many of them display the results on dedicated phone and tablet apps. Primarily, yes. Just watch Microsoft's video introducing its new Band tracker - it shows a tanned hunk performing 25 chin ups, and a young woman running six miles uphill. It pointedly doesn't show a slightly overweight middle-aged man looking knackered after running round the block three times.
