The ongoing Arab-Israeli conflict which disturbed the whole security environment of the Middle East has its roots in history. According to the Balfour Declaration of 1917, Israel was established in the Middle East in May 1948. The Arab states of the region did not accept the creation of a Jewish state. The Jewish leader Dr. Theodor Herzal had organised Jews under World Zionist Organisation and struggled for an independent country for the Jews. The Arabs opposed it tooth and nail and started to fight against Israel. Israel established its defenrp force (IDF) to counter the adversaries which differs from most armed forces in the world in many ways, including the conscription of women, and the structure, with close relations between the ground forces, air force and navy. So, according to the justification of both sides Arab-Israeli dispute is a main hurdle to settle the security issues in Middle East.
