This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Falklands War. However, not only is this a time for remembering the conflict, it is also an opportunity to look towards the future. Recent moves by Argentina have applied economic pressure to the Islands and highlighted their claim for sovereignty. In the face of this, the UK renewed its commitment to settlement negotiations, but the Falklands' inhabitants are adamant that self-determination will play a role in any future talks.
