div align="justify"Frente às novas perspectivas ambientais e com a preocupa??o com o desenvolvimento sustentável, cada vez mais a ciência, as comunidades, as institui??es de ensino e os gestores de modo geral têm-se empenhado em desenvolver novas estratégias e metodologias para se trabalhar na área urbana e rural, com o objetivo de n?o agredir o meio ambiente e melhorar as atividades dentro da propriedade. Partindo desta problemática, o objetivo deste trabalho foi o de verificar o atual estado da dissemina??o de informa??es aplicáveis na agricultura de subsistência dentro do contexto regional. A metodologia baseou-se em uma revis?o bibliográfica qualitativa de caráter exploratório, investigando os principais materiais de divulga??o trabalhados nas escolas e em encontros sobre educa??o ambiental que falam sobre as possibilidades de trabalhar com a quest?o ambiental rural. Os resultados demonstraram que apesar de existirem muitas op??es para se trabalhar a educa??o ambiental na agricultura familiar, pouco se tem feito na prática. Verificou-se também que o enfoque principal da educa??o ambiental no campo restringe-se a atividades com plantio de mudas para o reflorestamento de áreas degradadas e preserva??o de matas ciliares, porém a educa??o ambiental pode envolver diversas técnicas que visam à melhoria da qualidade de vida no campo e trabalhar apenas com temas de “marketing verde” deixam a desejar quando se fala em sustentabilidade. /divdiv align="justify"Palavras chave: pequeno produtor; meio ambiente; sustentabilidade/div/pbr/pABSTRACT/Pdiv align="justify"In Front of new prospects and the environmental concerns with sustainable development, always more the science, communities, institutions of education and general managers have been engaged in developing new strategies and methodologies to work in urban and rural area. The aims are not harming the environment and optimize the processes of action, trying to maximize profits. The objective of this study was to verify the current state of knowledge of environmental education and dissemination of information on subsistence agriculture, within the national context. The methodology was based on a qualitative literature review, with exploratory character, exposing the main arguments used and their applicability. The results showed that although there are many options to work for environmental education in family agriculture, few things has been done in practice. It was verified that the main focus of environmental education in the field is restricted to activities with planting of seedlings for reforestation of degraded areas and conservation of riparian forests. Although, the environmental education may involve several techniques aimed at improving the quality of life in the field.
