Abstract:Young adult patients with stroke requires long-term care and support from their family and society they live in. They may suffer from a certain feeling of shame which also called stigma. The stigma can influence the patients’ quality of life and mental health. This paper reviewed the studies on stigma of young adult patients with stroke, and to provide potential interventions to relieve the severity of stigma, so as to improve the quality of life in young adult patients with stroke.
