：Objective To investigate the application value of "disease-characteristics nursing quality improvement" program in cirrhosis patients with esophageal and gastric varicose bleeding(EGVB). Methods 〓Totally 86 cirrhosis patients with EGVB were assigned to the control group(n=43)and the observation group(n=43)according to the sequence of admission. Patients in the control group receive routine care during targeted treatment, and "disease-characteristics nursing quality improvement" program was carried in the observation group. The quality of life was evaluated by World Health Organization Quality of Life(WHOQOL-BREF)assessment scale. The length of stay and satisfactory degree of patients were compared between two groups. Results 〓Except for the environment domain, the scores of other domains were increased in both two groups after the intervention(P0.05), and were higher in the observation group than those in the control group(P0.05). The length of stay in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group(P0.05). Patients in the observation group were more satisfied with the nursing service compared with those in the control group(P0.05). Conclusion 〓The "disease-characteristics nursing quality improvement" program can improve the quality of life in cirrhosis patients with EGVB, reduce the length of stay and improve the satisfactory degree of patients.
