Mixed combustion is considered as an effective and sustainable sludge energy utilization technol-ogy. A full understanding of the mixed combustion characteristics of municipal solid waste and sludge and the migration characteristics of heavy metals is helpful to formulate strategies to reduce environ-mental pollution during sludge utilization. In this pa-per, the combustion characteristics of municipal waste pollutants mixed with municipal sludge and domestic waste are comprehensively studied, and the activation energy of sludge combustion is measured by model-free method. The migration characteristics of heavy metals in combustion products under the mixing ratio are also studied in detail. The results show that mixed combustion is a multi-step process, and the activation energy increases with the increase of material conversion rate, with an average activa-tion energy of 79.59kj·mol!. With the increase of combustion temperature, the gas yield increases, the tar yield first decreases gradually, while the solids increase.
