Your important diagnosis of the trouble with science ("How science goes wrong", October19th) suggested a number of fixes. One attempt at realising some of those fixes exists in FloooResearch, a new open-access mega-journal that publishes research across all areas of biology and medicine. All the submitted articles are published immediately, avoiding the customary filtering for exciting or important findings by editors and reviewers and thus avoiding months of delay. Authors are required to provide all relevant data supporting their findings so that others can verify them. Peer review follows publication and comments are published with the name and affiliation of the reviewer.
