摘要

Direct-drive linear-actuator technology refers to translational motion created by the direct application of electromagnetic drive force, rather than through a belt, ball screw, or some other intermediate drive. The most recent advance in direct-drive linear motion control systems is represented by the tubular permanent-magnet actuator (TPMA) technology. In this paper, axially-magnetized TPMAs are reviewed in terms of electromagnetic design and modelling, thermal and multiphysics analysis, electronic supply and thrust-force control.
