摘要

We consider the problem of a homogene- ous binary mixture flowing in a tube under the action of a pressure gradient. The radius of the tube is assumed to be samll and the flow slow in such a way that Pe 10 and Re 1. A temperature gradient parallel to the flow direction is imposed, either directly in the fluid or through the tube walls. Under such hypothesis, this configuration may represent on the local scale, the thermal dif- fusion arising in the porous matrix of thermo gravitational column or in a catalytic bed.
