Notice of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announces a 90-day finding on a petition to amend regulations under 50 CFR 17 to list the Tehachapi slender salamander, a species of amphibian found in Kern County, Calif., as threatened or endangered under the Endangered Species Act. The agency has determined that the petition presents substantial scientific or commercial information indicating that listing the species may be warranted. The notice also announces the initiation of a status review to determine if listing the species is war-rnranted. Comments and information are due June 22, 2009.
