By adding some super-sticky powder to the polyurethane foam (PUF) used in air-sampling devices, researchers at Environment Canada have expanded the array of detectable atmospheric persistent organic pollutants (POPs). Experts expect the innovation to help scientists get a better handle on how some important emerging contaminants travel throughout the world-and in indoor settings.
