For art coviello, the busi-ness of data security is one of continuous evolution. Those people attempting to steal data are constantly trying out new methods, and security vendors need to find ways to keep one step ahead, Covi-ello, president of RSA Security, said in an interview with eWeek. "We are now protecting well over 100 million online identities," he said. "But the next step is to bring the security to information itself and look for patterns in the flow of information and data. Our tools are sophisticated enough not to do just dictionary-type content but to actually screen streams and flows of different data." RSA, a division of storage vendor EMC and whose soft-ware is used by more than 90 percent of Fortune 500 enterprises, will stage its annual user conference in San Francisco in April.
