In this study, we analyzed the kinetics of UL41 that had RNase activity and the efffect of siRNA inhibition in the reactivation of latently infected pseudorabies virus (PRV) by using murine model. At 1 and 3 hours after stimulating with Acetylcholine, UL41 was translated in the trigeminal ganglia of latently infected mouse. The virus reactivation from the trigeminal ganglia cultured with siRNA against UL41 was reduced more than the culture without siRNA. The latently infected mice administrated siRNA intracerebraly excreted reactivated virus less than the mice not administrated. These results show the RNA degradation in PRV reactivation was caused by the RNase activity of UL41 and there is possibility the latent PRV reactivation is able to be controled by inhibiting UL41.
