South Korea's 'Big Three' shipbuilders - Hyundai HI, Samsung Heavy Industries, and Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) - have set higher goals for 2014. Hyundai wants to win commercial ship and offshore vessel orders worth $ 16.2Bn, while Samsung and DSME have each set a target of $14.5Bn. Of these amounts, Hyundai wants to win offshore orders worth $7Bn, compared with$6.5Bnin2013. Samsung is eyeing $10Bn in offshore orders, compared with $8.9Bn in2013,while DSME is targeting offshore orders worth $10Bn, compared with $9.1Bn last year.
