One of the early decisions of Silvio Berlusconi's government, which came to power in April, has been to address the major issue of Italy's growing energy needs. "We must remove the barriers slowing down economic recovery and reducing our competitiveness. I am thinking in particular of the issue of expensive energy, and its impact on the economy.
