Aeronca 6S-TAC Defender N36857 is the latest exhibit to arrive at the D-Day Wings Museum at Caen-Carpiquet in Normandy, France. Built in 1941 as L1821TA, it was among 154 65-TACs destined for the US Civilian Pilot Training and Civil Air Patrol programmes. It suffered a landing accident on May 29, 2017 at Zelienople, Pennsylvania, but was restored by its owner before being acquired by the museum and transported to France.
