Starbucks Coffee Company's first community store outside of the US opened in the Langsuan neighbourhood of Bangkok. Ten per cent of sales from the store's hand-crafted beverages will be directed to the farming communities of Northern Thailand. Chairman, president, and CEO Howard Schultz inaugurated the community store - the fourth which operates with a profit-sharing commitment to serve the local community, with the belief that when communities come together, there can be positive change.
