Some top ski resorts aren't easy to get to—either they're not near a commercial airport (Whistler) or they almost always require changing planes (Jackson Hole). That's where a private jet turns a day in the air into an afternoon on the slopes by cutting the trip time.The four itineraries here take seven to nine hours by commercial carrier, two and a half to four and a half hours by private light jet or Avantair's prop-jet, both of which have plenty of baggage space. Prices cover up to seven people and include fuel surcharges and 7.5 percent federal excise tax. Jet card (JC) and fractional prices (F) are one-way. Not included in the latter is the capital investment and monthly management cost. Charter price is a round-trip average of six top providers and assumes same-day return.
