摘要

Bonuses are additional payments to employees over and above their ordinary regular earnings, and may constitute either gifts or wages, depending upon circumstances. Some bonuses are encountered as part of an executive compensation program (special stock option, stock bonus, for example) and are not further pursued here. Incentive, production and attendance bonuses, on the other hand, may be given to employees in general (see below). Executive compensation is covered at 4500.
